Private VIP balloon · Luxor West Bank · A single experience

The sunrise, the pilot, and no one else in the basket.

Most balloons over Luxor carry twenty strangers. This one carries your group and no one else — a private basket, your own pilot, and the whole Valley coming up gold out of the dark with nobody's elbows in your photo. The sunrise flight, made exclusive, and arranged end to end.

The basket is yours alone, just your group and a senior pilot, with room to turn and take it in. You lift off into the sunrise over the West Bank with no one else in the frame, and everything on the ground is already handled — including coffee and a real local breakfast once you land.

The same sunrise. Just yours.

There is a moment, a few minutes before dawn over Luxor, when a dozen balloons hang in the dark waiting for the light — and every one of them is a big basket packed with twenty people angling for the rail. The view is extraordinary no matter what. But the experience is a shared one: shoulders, elbows, someone else's selfie stick in the frame of the best photograph of your whole trip.

A private VIP flight quietly removes all of that. Same route, same sunrise, same three thousand years coming up gold beneath you — but the basket is yours, the pilot is flying for you alone, and the morning belongs to your group and nobody else.

What the exclusivity actually buys you

It's not about luxury for its own sake. A private basket changes the feeling of the flight: it's calmer, quieter, and more personal. You can move to whichever side the light is best on. The pilot talks to you, not a crowd. And when you drift up over the Valley of the Kings, the Ramesseum and Hatshepsut's terraces with the Nile a ribbon of green below, there's no one between you and it.

This is the flight people choose for the mornings that matter — a honeymoon, a proposal, a landmark birthday, or simply the once-in-a-lifetime sunrise they refuse to share.

The shared balloon gives you the view. The private one gives you the moment.

Arranged so all you do is watch the sun come up

We handle everything: the pre-dawn pickup from your hotel, the licensed operator and pilot, the permits and the ground crew, and your concierge on call the whole time. Ballooning is weather-dependent everywhere on earth — so if conditions call your flight off, we re-fly you free another morning where we can, or refund it in full.

You bring a warm layer for the early chill, a camera, and the willingness to be somewhere genuinely unforgettable before breakfast. Prefer to fly as part of the shared sunrise balloon instead? That's superb value, and we arrange that too — just ask.

Everyone else is watching the sunrise from a crowded basket. You're watching it from your own.

On the day

What you'll experience

A basket that's yours alone

No twenty-person gondola, no jostling for the rail — a private, exclusive basket for your group, so every side of the sunrise is yours and every photo is clean.

The Valley of the Kings from the air

Float up over the royal tombs, the Ramesseum, Hatshepsut's terraces and the green edge of the Nile — three thousand years laid out beneath you in the first gold light of the day.

Your own pilot, your own pace

A licensed pilot flying for your group only means a calmer, more personal flight — the kind of quiet, unhurried sunrise a shared balloon simply can't give you.

The photograph you'll actually print

Of everything people do in Luxor, this is the image that ends up framed. Private, it's the one without a single stranger in the frame.

The person at the heart of it

What is a Luxor Rising concierge?

Not a guide with a flag and a script. A concierge is one trusted person who understands where you are in your own journey, shares the road with you, and quietly arranges every last detail — the car, the tickets, the right hour, the doors — so all you have to do is be present. You manage nothing. You just flow.

A guide who understands your journey

Someone who listens first — who grasps what this trip really means to you — and then reads three thousand years in a way that speaks to it. Never a memorised tour repeated to everyone.

A companion who shares the road

A real person who knows your name, is on WhatsApp before you arrive and beside you through every day. Someone — never a call centre or a voucher.

Everything arranged, so you just flow

Cars, tickets, timing, translation, the quiet hour ahead of the crowds, and the doors that never open for a coach — all handled invisibly. You never touch a single logistic.

"We've done the big-bus version of Egypt before. This wasn't that. We had Medinet Habu almost to ourselves for the first hour, coffee in hand, and Ahmed knew exactly which wall to stand us in front of as the light came up. I didn't want to leave."
Lena & Tomáš, Vienna

"What sold us afterwards was everything we never had to think about — no tickets, no tipping at gates, no wondering if we were being overcharged. Someone we trusted just handled the whole day. The photos he took on my own phone are the ones now framed at home."
Priya R., London
★★★★★
"I was worried it would feel like a rushed history lesson. It was the opposite — unhurried, personal, and our Egyptologist answered questions for as long as we had them. Worth every euro, and I'm not someone who says that lightly."

Questions, answered

How much is a private VIP balloon flight, and what makes it different?+
From €240 per person for a private, exclusive basket — your group only, with your own pilot. A standard balloon shares a large basket with around twenty other people; the VIP flight is just yours, which means more space, a calmer flight, and photos with no strangers in them. Both fly the same glorious sunrise route over the Valley of the Kings.
How long is the experience and how long is the flight?+
Plan around three hours door to door — pre-dawn pickup, the inflation and safety briefing, roughly 40–60 minutes in the air over the West Bank, and the drive back. The flight itself is timed for the sunrise.
Is a private balloon worth the extra over a shared one?+
If the sunrise flight is a special occasion — a honeymoon, a proposal, a milestone, or simply the one thing you most want to get right — yes. The exclusivity, the calm, and the clean photographs are exactly what you're paying for. If you just want to fly, the shared sunrise balloon is superb value and we offer that too.
Is ballooning over Luxor safe?+
We work only with licensed operators with strong safety records, experienced pilots and properly maintained equipment. Flights only go ahead in suitable conditions — if the weather doesn't cooperate, we reschedule or refund. Your safety sits above the schedule, always.
What if the weather cancels my flight?+
Ballooning is weather-dependent everywhere. If your flight is called off for conditions, we re-fly you free on another morning of your trip where possible, or refund it in full — no arguments.
